The
Samsung Galaxy Note II is now receiving an update to
Android 4.1 Jelly Bean which upgrades your Android
version to 4.1.2 and includes some additional new exclusive features. One of the new features is the new ink effects which comes into effect when you touch your screen with the S Pen. It may not be a ground breaking feature, but it is still a nice touch to make the device stand out. You can even change the color of the ink if you want.
Another visual change is the color of the status bar, which has now been changed to black from its former gray color. The update also brings some customizable notification toggles which are quite useful. You can enable, disable or even rearrange them to suite your requirement.
The update also adds a multi-window toggle, which is quite useful. Samsung has also added a new app called Group Cast for sharing media with other Samsung devices and improved web browser performance. The Swype keyboard has also been improved and now allows continuous input.
The update is currently rolling out to devices in Poland and Sweden and should be released to the to other regions soon. Samsung has been quick with releasing the Android 4.1.1 and Android 4.1.2 updates and we hope they will keep the same pace with the
Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update.
