The newest lineup of Apple devices are now making their way to China. Today Apple released an official press statement detailing the release of the Apple iPhone 5, Apple iPad mini and the Apple iPad 4, which are set to arrive in China this December.
The release in China comes months after the device has been made available in the United States, Europe and many other regions around the world and we find it surprising that the increasingly lucrative Chinese market is left as one of the last.
The Apple iPhone 5 offers the larger 4 inch Retina Display for the first time since the device was first introduced back in 2007. It also features up to 64GB of internal storage, an improved 8 megapixel camera and a faster Apple A6 processor. Unfortunately China Mobile, which happens to be the largest carrier in the world had a proprietary 3G network, which is not compatible with the newest iPhone. It maybe awhile longer before Apple’s device can make the impact it want to in the Chinese market.
With a huge population to satisfy we hope that Apple will be prepared to meet the demand for their latest products. Users who are looking to have a consistency with the lightning port on the new devices would be able to get it from any of Apple’s offerings.
By including China, the iPhone 5 is now available in 47 countries while 42 are selling the latest iPad models.
However if you are looking to purchase an iPad mini, you would probably be better off waiting a few months, as rumors suggest that Apple may be replacing the current model with a Retina Display touting model early next year. Since we can expect the newer mini at the same price, it would be a much better deal for the product than what Apple is offering now.
