ZTE teases Windows Phone 8 device with 5.9 inch full 1080p HD display

While the Apple iPhone 5 is happy in the 4 inch territory, Android competitors are pushing the boundaries in the category on their smartphones. While the Windows Phone camp doesn’t seam to have something cooked up yet, this looks to change soon thanks to ZTE.

This information comes from ZTE’s head of market strategy, Luy Quian Hao, who released a teaser photo showing off a monster device. The device has a mind boggling 5.9 inch display with a 1080p full HD resolution.

Unfortunately the display itself wasn't shown in the picture as the devices are shown face down in Black and White. Based on the image the device looks to have an impressive build.

One thing we do need to keep in mind is that Windows Phone 8 currently unable to support resolutions higher than 720p.  While there are claims that the Windows Phone 8 kernel can be adjusted to support 1080p we will have to wait a little longer to be certain.

Will you hold off for a ZTE phone with a 5.9 inch 1080p display? Or are you satisfied with the Nokia Lumia 920 and HTX Windows Phone 8x which are now available for pre-order.
