Nokia wasn't forthcoming with their carriers and partners when they first announced their device. Nor did they reveal the reveal the price of the handset until recently when we discovered the Nokia Lumia 920 would cost 25% more than the Samsung Galaxy S III – the current Android flagship.

The Galaxy S III costs around 530 euros ($690) off contract in Germany compared to the Lumia 920 which is priced at 649 euros ($840). Even with Nokia’s new hardware features it doesn't make sense for such a big price difference while Nokia is still trying to win back its fan base.
Nokia was a top choice smartphone once, but high priced flagship is only second to the Apple iPhone 5 which costs 679 euros off contract. While the iPhone 5 doesn't have the same hardware of the Galaxy S III it has already proven itself especially with its great app ecosystem. Windows Phone (WP) on the other hand is still reinventing itself, and while it does have a respectable lineup of app on WP 7, it will virtually have to restart its app list with WP 8 apps.

Do you think Nokia can get away with their Lumia 920 pricing? Will new customers be willing to pay premium prices for Nokia Windows Phones? Share your thoughts below.
