How to exchange your recently purchased iPad 3 with the iPad 4 for free

Apple just announced the iPad 4, and unlike with previous announcements the Apple iPad 3 has been fully replaced and taken off the shelf by the Apple iPad 4. The iPad 4 features the same physical outer appearance but includes improved LTE and Wi-Fi connectivity, a new HD front facing camera and is powered by an Apple A6X chip which promises double the processing and graphics power.

Many users may be frustrated that their third generation iPads, which have only been around for 7 months are already obsolete. However users who purchased their iPad 3 recently may have a way of exchanging it for the iPad 4.

A recent report suggests that customers who purchased their iPad 3 within the last 30 days may be eligible to exchange their device for free as long as the unit isn't scratched or damaged in any way.

The news comes from Apple itself, but we aren't sure if this deal will be honored by all the Apple Stores. Make sure you call and check with your local Apple Store before you attempt to exchange your device.
