Grand Theft Auto: Vice City - Coming soon to mobile platforms

As smartphones continue to grow stronger and stronger, developers are able to utilize their powerful hardware for much more than simple apps. Over the years we have seen several popular PC games make their way to mobile devices, and one of those titles was Grand Theft Auto III.

Late last year, Rockstar Games released GTA:III for iOS and Android. They have now announced its sequel GTA: Vice City which will soon be available for your favorite mobile platforms.

Grand Theft Auto is an open world, action adventure video game which has been a hallmark in its category. Last year GTA III for mobile was released on the game’s 10 year anniversary. It seems like Rockstar wants to continue that trend with GTA: Vice City, which was first announced on October 29th, 2002. However don’t expect it in three days, as Rockstar has stated that it will be available “later in fall”. But we won't have to wait too long as there are just two months left before the end of this year.

Rockstar has promised the iOS and Android versions of GTA: Vice City will feature “native high-resolution graphics and several enhancements unique to the iOS and Android platform.” Surprisingly there is no news of the game’s availability on Windows Phone and Windows RT, and wonder how this will affect Microsoft’s newest mobile platform.

GTA: Vice City is already available for Windows, PlayStation 2, Sony PSP and Mac OS.
