The jury have reached a verdict on the Apple vs. Samsung case and the result will surely impact the mobile industry as a whole.
Samsung devices have been found to infringe on Apple's patents and Samsung has been fined over $1,051,855,000 in damages.
Samsung infringed on Apple's bounce back patent with all 21 of their devices. Three devices were ruled to be infringing on the pinch-to-zoom patent. The verdict was also against Samsung in the shape of their products compared to Apple's and the home screen GUI. While the Galaxy Tab did not infringe on the shape or UI patents it did infringe five of seven Apple patents.
Meanwhile Samsung countersuit against Apple found that the Apple iPad and the Apple iPod Touch were not violating any of Samsung's patents.

Apple vs Samsung Completed Verdict
The first block refers to the '381 (bounce back) patent, which Samsung's design emails characterized as "adding fun for the user". This is followed by the '915 (touch-to-zoom) patent, which allows a image to be stretched or compressed by using to your fingers. All but two Samsung devices were found to infringe this patent. The '163 (tap-to-zoom) patent also found 13 Samsung devices infringing
Samsung called the verdict a loss for the American consumer and hopes to seek a ruling from Judge Koh to overturn the verdict. If this doesnt work out they hope to seek an appeal.
Apple responded to the verdict saying that it showed that stealing isn't right.
