Following Tim Cook’s apology for Apple Maps on iOS 6, the company has also gone to remove the statement “the most powerful mapping service ever” from their description of the Maps app.
They have replaced it with “All in a beautiful vector-based interface that scales and zooms with ease”. Which itself is strange since their CEO actually suggested iOS 6 users use alternatives until Apple has improved their service.

Apple is reported to be working hard to improve their Maps app and there is even reports that they are hiring former Google employees to help get their product fine tuned. In any case the public will eventually forgive the Maps disaster very much like they forgave Apple for Antennagate (death grip) issues with the Apple iPhone 4.
