International users of the Samsung Galaxy S III will be happy to know their handset is now receiving a new software version. The new update which is 73MB in size doesn’t bring any significant changes but promises improved stability which is always welcome.
There is one change that the users will quickly notice and that is the new brightness slider which has been added to the notification tray. As you would expect this gives users quick access to the device brightness setting. The new setting also allows you to toggle auto-brightness on and off.

While this update will be welcome by its users, most of us are probably waiting to know when the flagship devices will get a chance to savor Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
The Galaxy S III may have stolen the top Android spot from the HTC One X, but it will have to work hard to keep its position. While its currently one of the more powerful handsets in the market, Apple is set to challenge that with their next iPhone this fall and so is Microsoft with their release of Windows Phone 8. Samsung’s lag in quickly releasing Android updates should not become the Android flagships biggest weakness
