However it turns out that the Nokia 808 Pureview will indeed be coming to the U.S. as Nokia has now updated their U.S. website to feature the camera centric smartphone.
There was a time that we thought we will never see a Symbian device be offered through official channels in the U.S again. Especially with the company’s focus on Windows Phone. There were however reports of the 808 Pureview being offered as an unlocked version through various online retailers, similar to the Nokia Lumia 800.
The Nokia 808 Pureview features a huge 41 megapixel sensor, a 4.0 inch touch display with Gorilla Glass protection, 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD and is powered by a 1.3 GHz processor with 512MB RAM.
The device will be available in Red and in Black and you can sign up on the Nokia 808 Pureview product page, for news on availability.
If you can’t wait, you can get the unlocked variant of the Nokia 808 Pureview right now on Amazon for $699 using the following link.
Remember that the Nokia 808 Pureview is a GSM device and can be used on either the AT&T or T-Mobile networks.
