Alexey Roslyakov, the developer behind bringing Android 2.3 Gingerbread to the Nokia N900 through the NitDroid project, has posted a picture of the Nokia N9 running an early build of Android ICS.
The picture is titled 'progress' and while it is still in early stages, the works seams to be progressing. The NitDroid team is also said to be working on porting Android 4.0 for the Nokia N900.
The N9 hold quite an advantage over the current generation Android handsets which are eligible for ICS being that it has no physical buttons. Since Android is built without the need of physical buttons as demonstrated on the Google Galaxy Nexus, the NitDroid team will be sure to take full advantage of the N9 hardware.
When Android 4.0 for the Nokia N9 is good and ready for public consumption the developers promise to offer a dual-boot functionality between Meego and Android.
