Google readying it's own cloud storage

Cloud storage is something we are all familiar with. Windows users have the SkyDrive and Apple users have iCloud. However Android users are left with having to choose third party services like DropboxBox, or SugarSync. While these services do help users keep their files mobile, a report suggests that Google is working on it's own cloud based storage service.

This isn't to say Google doesn't have it's cloud services. The company has Picasa for photos, YouTube for your videos and Google Docs for files. Its recently launched Google Music services takes care of all your music. But Google's mission seams to be to consolidate these storage services into one unified service for it's users.

The report goes on to say that the service will launch in the coming weeks or months and will allow users a set amount of free space which they can expand by paying a certain fee.

Windows users probably have the best deal with the huge 25GB of free storage that Microsoft offers its customers leading the pack. However Microsoft is still not a thread with the Windows Phone platform still coming behind in the Android, iOS led race. Google will have to make an offer which will get customer's attentions away from iOS and one that can make sure they stay ahead of Microsoft for good.

Are you an Android user who enjoys cloud storage from one of the services mentioned above or probably one of TitanFileUbuntu OneWuala or ZumoDrive. Tell us what you think of a Google Drive and if it will make you happier will Google services.
