Asus Transformer Prime receives Android ICS software update

Asus has just reported that they are rolling out an Android Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Asus Transformer Prime. The update (9.4.2.14) is reported to help boost battery life which has been a concern for users.

The Transformer Prime which succeeds the Asus Eee Pad Transformer. features a 10 inch display, 8 megapixel camera, an optional keyboard dock and is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core NVidia CPU with 1 GB of RAM.

As the first tablet to feature Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, the first to feature a quad-core processor and succeeding one of the most popular Android tablets, there is a lot of expectation from the Transformer Prime. If Asus can crush all the bugs which have plagued the device since it's launch they can have a worthy competitor to the iPad 2 in their hands.
