In a mobile market driven by applications, it should come as no surprise that the most popular model of the Apple iPhone 4S is the one with 64GB of memory on board. A recent survey conducted around the sales of the iPhone 4S found 21% of users who purchased the device opted for the model with the highest storage available which is 64GB.
The survey was carried out by the Consumer Intelligence Research Partners who released the official report yesterday. The report takes an in depth look at the consumers who recently purchased the latest iPhone following it's launch in October 2011.
With the quality of current generation mobile games which take up quite a bit of memory, coupled with high definition photos and videos it is no surprise that users choose to get the maximum capacity they can on the iPhone, also having to consider that you cannot upgrade the memory using SD cards.
Another interesting fact which was revealed was that 36% of those purchasing an iPhone 4S have migrated from another mobile platform.
Apple is setting up a strong hold on the mobile industry with superior design and quality. While Android and Windows Phone offer a great software alternate, the mobile phone hardware vendors will have to step it up in terms of design and innovation if they want their handsets to get ahead of Apple's iPhone.
