Microsoft has announced the Nokia 130, an affordable feature phone, which is said to cost no more than EUR 19 (around $25) before taxes and subsidies. In a world dominated by smartphones, its nice to look back at a classic which offers the familiar Navi key and alphanumeric keypad as your form of input.
The Nokia 130 features a 1.8 inch LCD display with a 160 by 128 pixel resolution, microSD storage and a 1020 mAh battery, which should offer decent battery life. You dont have a camera on this device, but Microsoft has included a handy flashlight instead. The Nokia 130 runs the Series 30 based Nokia OS, which offers standard access to all the basic functions on your device.
Microsoft markets the Nokia 130 as the most affordable phone to offer its level of music and video playback. The device is expected to offer as much as 16 hours of video playback and 46 hours of music playback.
The device will be available in black, white and red and can be picked up in a single SIM or dual SIM model. While the device is expected to arrive in markets this August, an exact date was not revealed.
