[NOTE] The rooting process is only recommended for experienced users. Please note that we are not responsible for any loss of data or malfunctioning that may occur as a result of flashing. It is also important to note that flashing your device may void its warranty.
The guide to root the Samsung Galaxy Note on Android 2.3.5 follows:
- Download and install Samsung Kies on your computer
- Download and launch ODIN 1.85
- Download Netchips ClockworkMod Recovery Kernel
- Switch your device off
- Hold Volume Up + Volume Down to put your device in Download Mode
- Plug your computer ti your device
- Once ODIN recognizes your device
- Click the PDA button
- Navigate to netchip-cwm-update2.tar and click Start
- The file will be flashed and the device will be restarted.
- Once you have rebooted
- Hold Volume Up + Home Button + Power Button
- Your device will be in ClockworkMod (CWM) recovery mode.
- Navigate to install zip from sd card > choose zip from sdcard > su-2.3.6.1-ef-signed.zip
- Reboot your device by selecting reboot system from the main menu
If you have followed the steps correctly you would have successfully rooted your Samsung Galaxy Note, on Android 2.3.5
