RIM has two new devices coming

RIM has announced two upcoming BlackBerry devices and would like developers to start writing apps for them. Emphasis has been made on screen sizes and resolutions of the displays.

The BlackBerry Curve Touch 9380 features a 3.2 inch touchscreen display and has a screen resolution if 480 x 360 in portrait mode.  It has a aspect ratio of 4:3 in landscape mode and 189 PPP in landscape mode. The 9380 will also feature a 5MP camera, NFC and be powered by an 800 MHz processor.

The BlackBerry Bold 9790 is the other device which has been revealed in the post. It will feature a 2.44 inch display, and will maintain the same resolution and aspect ratio of the 9380, but will have a 245 PPI which is attributed to the smaller display size. The device features a 5MP camera, 8GB internal storage, NFC, a full QWERTY keyboard and is powered by a 1.2 GHz processor.

As RIM has revealed that these models are ready for role out, they should be seeing the light of day quite soon.
