Apple to unveil new iPhone and more on October 4th ?

Everyone is curious to know when Apple will reveal the new iPhone to the world and it looks like that date may be October 4th and the device will be revealed by Apple's new CEO Time Cook. Everyone has been hoping and waiting for Apple to reveal the next iPhone, and some information from AllThingsDigital has pointed towards October 4th being that date. Tim Cook will lead the show and will be joined on stage by W.Schiller (Senior VP, Worldwide Product  Marketing), Scott Forstall ( Senior VP, iOS Software) and Eddy Cue (Senior VP, Internet Software and Services). We have to remind our readers that this news is still not officially confirmed by Apple, so consider it another rumor until it is.

While we are not certain what the product line will be, reports and rumors are pointing towards two iPhones being presented this year. The iPhone 5 will take on as the new flagship with a cheaper iPhone 4S also being made available to expand Apple's market. An iPod Touch with 3G has also been making it's rumor rounds along with an iPad 3 possibility which does seam very likely with Apple iPad 2 dominating the tablet market. There is also speculation of a new Apple device joining the lineup and we are really curious to see if it will show it's face at this event.

One the software side the event will see the release of iOS 5, iCloud and OS X Lion 10.7.2. The latest update to OS X has had iCloud services baked into it, so we will have been integration between our iOS devices and OS X computers.

With a huge lineup we join the Apple fanboys and haters alike as we sit back and see if Apple will wow us yet again with their hardware and software offerings.
