It looks like RIM is finally ready to unveil their BlackBerry 7 powered smartphones to the world. This news comes from sources who claim that RIM is getting set to hold a press conference in London tomorrow (3 August) and another event in Toronto with a number of lucky participants being promised BlackBerry OS 7 powered handsets.
The first of the two major releases expected is the BlackBerry Torch 9810 which is also known as the Torch 2. While the design of the device looks to remain without much change. It will be powered by a 1.2GHz processor and 768MB of RAM. It will have a 3.2 inch VGA touchscreen, 5 mega-pixel camera, Wi-Fi, GPS and NFC all features which are becoming standard on smartphones today.
The second major release is said to be the BlackBerry Torch 9860 previously known as the Monoco. This full touchscreen device will also be powered by a 1.2 GHz processor and feature a 3.7 inch WVGA display, 5 mega-pixel camera, Wi-Fi and GPS.
