Microsoft starts working on Windows Phone 8

Windows Phone Mango is still to reach the public, but Microsoft looks to have learned their lesson with slow development of their mobile platform. The company’s career webpage shows a job offerings for experienced software engineers to help build the Windows Phone 8 platform.

The candidates who are selected will be a part of Microsoft’s Consumer Experience team and will be given the challenging task of taking the “out of box experience of Windows Phone 8 to the next level”. They will be also responsible for improving the look and feel of the next generation of the Windows Phone OS.

Microsoft is known for not drifting far from a successful implementation, so we can expect them to continue to build on their Metro UI. With Nokia’s reliance on the Windows Phone OS, Microsoft will have to ensure their continuous updating and research on the platform to bring a high quality experience for the end user.
