Apple OS X (10.7.2) Lion build 11C40 with iCloud Beta 8 released

Apple has released the latest version of  OS X 10.7.2 Lion build 11C40 for developers and it features Safari 5.1.1 and iCloud Beta 8 for OS X.
Because iCloud has been deeply integrated with OS X, Lion users will have to download the latest version of the OS when it is made available in order to enjoy the features offered by Apple's cloud service.

This update comes just days after Apple released the 10.7.1 update for Lion which brought several fixes to Apple's brand new OS, including updates to fix Wi-Fi related issues which have plagued Lion adopters since day 01 and video output issues.

If you are already running a beta version of OS X 10.7.2 you must first run the revisioner before installing this update.

Installing iCloud Beta 8 removes all references to MobileMe, which iCloud is replacing. It also adds integration to core OS X apps like Mail and Calender allowing you to synchronize their information with the cloud.

The Safari 5.1.1 update allows you to synchronize your bookmarks and Reading lists with the cloud.

The features of iCloud once released will be available across the entire Apple ecosystem, which includes iOS and OS X devices. You will be able to synchronize your data seamlessly between your iPhone, iPad, Macbook and Mac computers which can include mail, photos, music, calendars and bookmarks.
