Apple iPhone 4 vs. Apple iPhone 3GS - Camera Comparison



The Apple iPhone 4 offers great photography but how does it compare to the camera on the Nokia N8? On the iPhone 4 we have a 5MP camera, while Nokia's newest flagship comes with a 12MP camera sensor

The Nokia N8 features a 3.5 inch touch display, 16GB of storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 12 megapixel wide angle lens camera with Carl Zeiss optics and Xenon Flash which is capable of 720p HD video capture all encased in an anodized aluminum casing. The camera on the N8 also has the following features

  • Aperture - f/2.8
  • Camera sensor size - 1/1.83″, the largest in a mobile device at the time of launch

The Apple iPhone 4 features a 3.5 inch retina touch display, up to 32GB of internal storage, a 5 megapixel camera capable of 720p HD video, a secondary camera for video calls and is powered by a 1GHz A4 processor from Apple. The camera on the N8 also has the following features:
  • Backside illuminated sensor
  • Focal length – 3.85 mm
  • Aperture f/2.8 lens
