Motorola Droid RAZR and Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX receives Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software update


Motorola has announced the upcoming  software update for the Motorola Droid RAZR and the Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX. The update will carry version 98.72.16.XT912.Verizon.en.US and include all the improvements and enhancements Android 4.1.2 has to offer. This includes features like Google Now, Project Butter, voice search, and expandable notifications.

Last month Motorola revealed their Android 4.0 ICS update plans for their devices and the Motorola Droid Bionic received Android ICS on Friday making it the last scheduled device to receive the  update.

Now the company is looking forward and have revealed which of their devices will receive the  software update.

Motorola RAZR Android 4.0 ICS update coming next week ?

A recent report has revealed that Verizon may be releasing the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich to some of their handsets as early as next week.

The devices reported to receive the latest version of Android on April 4th are the Motorola Droid RAZR and the Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX.

Motorola has officially announced that the Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX will be available on January 26. The Droid Razr Maxx is a variant of the Motorola Droid Razr which is slightly thicker in frame in favour of a larger battery. The 3300 mAh battery gives the RAZR MAXX a huge advantage over it's competitors with over 21.5 hours of talk time and 15.8 hours of standby.
