Samsung Chromebook 2 officially announced

The Samsung Chromebook 2 was officially announced today. The device comes in two forms - a 11.6 inch model and a 13.3 inch model. The new Samsung Chromebooks come with an “elegant stitched design”, which is the same faux-leather styling that we can see on Samsung’s Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy NotePRO and TabPRO Series tablets.

Google Chromebook Pixel to compete with Macbook Pro with Retina Display ?

Google's approach with the Chromebook offers users an affordable and portable solution which makes use of cloud based technology instead of desktop applications. Since most operations take place on the cloud  the Chrome OS computers don't need powerful processors like their PC counterparts.

However a recently leaked video suggests that this may change soon as Google attempts to leap into the high end PC market.

Google Chrome Zone

Google has opened Chrome Zone's in London according to a TechRadar. These zones have been built with the purpose of educating the public on the advantages of using ChromeBooks and the Chrome OS. The Chrome Zones are built within larger stores like Currys and PC World on Torrenham Court Road, London and are operational as of today.

Google Chromebook announced

Google today announced the Chromebook during the second day of the Google I/O 2011. We first got a glimpse of the device back in December when Google gave out a few CR-48 netbooks to some lucky testers.

The Chromebooks will run ChromeOS which is a linux and cloud based operating system.
