Asus VivoTab Smart - Video Review

The Asus VivoTab Smart is a Windows 8 tablet which features a 10.1 inch touch display, 64GB of internal storage, an 8MP camera capable of 1080p HD video capture, a secondary camera for video calls and is powered by an Intel Atom processor with 2GB of RAM.

The device is currently priced at $499, making it a compelling option for those looking for a moderately sized tablets with the full Windows experience. The optional TranSleeve Keyboard will cost you an additional $150, which takes the total price into the notebook range.

Overall you will be getting a good Windows 8 tablet with the VovoTab Smart as it offers good value and features for its cost. However it wont replace a more traditional notebook with its Intel Atom processor, which does hinder performance at taxing tasks.

The idea behind Windows 8 is to use its modern environment as much as possible, especially with low powered Atom and ARM machines. So even though the traditional desktop experience may not be comparable to more powerful processors, we are certain that the VivoTab will be more than capable of running apps in the modern UI with ease.
