Alcatel has revealed a new series of devices at the CES 2013 including three new smartphones in the Alcatel Scribe Series: Alcatel One Touch Scribe HD, Alcatel One Touch Scribe X and Alcatel One Touch Scribe HD-LTE. All three devices feature 5 inch displays with optional capacitive stylus support and run the latest version of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.In terms of differences the Alcatel One Touch Scribe HD features a 5 inch display with a 720 x 1280 pixel resolution, an 8 megapixel camera, a secondary camera for video calls, 4GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 2500 mAh battery, a flip cover to protect the display and is powered by a 1.2GHz MediaTek 6589 processor. The device aims to compete with Samsung’s Galaxy Note series but is offered at a much cheaper $400 off contract price. The One Touch Scribe HD is expected to be released somewhere around Q3 2013.
Meanwhile the Alcatel One Touch Scribe HD-LTE will feature all the above mentioned features and will include 4G LTE connectivity aimed at markets with the required LTE infrastructure.
Last but not least the Alcatel One Touch Scribe X would take on the role of the flagship model with a 1080 x 1920 pixel on its 5 inch display, a 12 megapixel rear camera and a faster 1.4GHz quad-core processor.
