The LG Optimus 7 was one of the first Windows Phone handsets in the market and is currently running Windows Phone 7.5. If you own one of these handsets, you will be wondering if the device will be receiving the upcoming Windows Phone 7.8 update, which promises to bring the new Windows Phone 8 start screen to older devices.Unfortunately it looks like the LG Optimus G will not be receiving the Windows Phone 7.8 update.
The news comes from LG’s branch office in Poland and we aren't certain if the information will be valid only for that region or globally.
This wont come as much of a surprise to many users, especially since LG hasn't released a new Windows Phone 8 device and seems to have shifted its focus to Android.
