Panasonic has brought some new rugged tablets and products to the CES 2013. One of those new tablets is the Panasonic ToughPad JT-B1 which looks like it it can withstand any sort of punishment you can throw at it. The device features a 7 inch display with a 600 x 1024 pixel resolution and Gorilla Glass 2 protection. Additionally it meets military standard 810g and IP65 certification, which means it can withstand drops from up to 5 feet and has dust and water resistance.
This kind of protection doesn't result in an attractive device. The ToughPad JT-B1 is heavy and thick and its plastic exterior may be built to last but doesn't win any points for its looks.
This Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich tablet will also have a somewhat extravagant $1200 price tag tied to it, and makes us wonder how many would trade beauty to get their hands on this beast.
