HTC has recently made a good comeback in the smartphone space with devices like the HTC One and the HTC One M8, but the 4MP UltraPixel camera has been somewhat underwhelming compared to some of its competitors. HTC hopes to change this with the HTC Butterfly 2 with its 13MP Duo camera setup.
Unfortunately the HTC Butterfly 2 is not widely available for purchase. Currently, the Butterfly 2 is being sold in the Malaysia, Philippines, and Singapore, though you could likely pick up an unlocked model from an online retailer for about $660.
Its quite unfortunate that this handset is not sold through US carriers, but we can likely expect some of its improvements to make its way to the next generation HTC One. While the Butterfly 2 does offer water resistance with its polycarbonate body, it misses out on the unibody aluminum design of the HTC One. All in all the HTC Butterfly 2 seems to fill in some of the HTC One M8's shortcoming until the company is ready to present its next flagship.
