The Sony Xperia Z3 Compact was unveiled at today's IFA event, alongside the Xperia Z3 flagship. The newest mini version comes with an evolved design, which has a rounded frame and tempered glass panels for an good-looking, premium finish.
Sony has even included the usual water and dust resistant with IP65 and IP68 rating, which allows your Xperia Z3 Compact to be safely submerged in up to 5 feet (1.5 m) of water for as long as 30 minutes. The Compact offers all the features and design qualities of the Xperia Z3 but does it in a smaller form factor better suited for single handed use.
The Xperia Z3 Compact features a 4.6 inch display with a 720 by 1280 pixel resolution, 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 20.7 megapixel rear camera with a 1/2.3" Exmor RS sensor and a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB of RAM.
You will be able to purchase Z3 Compact in a range of colors as well - orange, green, white, and black. You will have to wait until autumn to get your hands on this device in Europe and be willing to spend €499 or £429 without subsidies.
