During last year's IFA conference, Sony introduced the QX10 and QX100 lens style cameras, which could be paired with your smartphones. At this year's event, Sony is expected to unveil their next generation of QX lens style cameras called the ILCE-QX1 E-mount (QX1) camera.
The QX10 and QX100 allowed smartphone users to capture high quality photos, without needing a bulky cameraphone.
While last year's model featured a fixed lens, this year's QX1 will be able to accept any of Sony's E-mount lenses that are used on the manufacturer's Alpha series of mirrorless cameras. That means that you can strap the QX1 to your smartphone, and change lenses as you see fit. The QX1 also appears to come with a pop-up flash.
A few photos of the QX1 have leaked out with what seems to be pictures of the Sony Xperia Z3, which is also expected to be unveiled at today's press event in Berlin.
