Huawei Ascend G7 officially announced with 64-bit processor, slim bezels, and metal build

The was officially announced today as an upper mid-range model with very interesting appeal. For starters, the device has a big 5.5-inch 720p INCELL display. INCELL is a technology for combining a digitizer, touch input, and LCD screen into a single layer, allowing for an exceptionally thin display assembly.

Because of this display technology the Ascend G7 is only 0.29 inches (7.6mm) thick - almost a 0.03 inch (1mm) difference with the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, and it has the same slim bezels. You also get a premium build quality, mostly made up of metal with two plastic covers on the back for better reception.

Other specs include 16GB of internal storage, 4G LTE connectivity and a 13MP BSI rear autofocus camera with f/2.0 aperture size.Its camera software includes a quick capture function, front-facing panorama, and Audio Note. You also get a 5MP camera in front for video calls and selfies. Both cameras have 88 degree-wide lens and blue-glass filters.

The smartphone comes with a 3000mAh non-removable battery is rated to be good enough for 600 hours on standby. Huawei has implemented battery saving technologies such as a display that adapts its brightness level, and a smart energy-saving feature that lets the phone operate 24 hours with just 10% charge. The Ascend G7 is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Cortex-A53 1.2GHz processor and with 2GB of RAM.

On the software side you get Android 4.4 KitKat with version 3.0 or Huawei's Emotion UI. The icing on the cake is that this beautifully crafted device can be yours for just 299 Euro.
