BlackBerry Porsche Design P'9983 officially announced with BlackBerry 10.3 and BlackBerry Assistant

Yesterday BlackBerry announced the Porsche Design P'9983, which became to first smartphone from the company to run the new BlackBerry 10.3 update. With BlackBerry 10.3 you also gain access to the BlackBerry Assistant, the company's own virtual assistant.

BlackBerry Porsche Design P'9983The BlackBerry Porsche Design P'9983 features a 3.1 inch Super AMOLED display with a 720 x 720 pixel resolution, 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded by an additional 128GB of microSD, an 8MP rear camera, a 2MP front camera, a 2100 mAh battery, Bluetooth, NFC, and a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8960 processor with 2GB of RAM.

With BlackBerry 10.3, users gain access to the BlackBerry Assistant. The digital virtual assistant works just like a real life personal assistant, by helping the user respond to emails and texts, schedule meetings and get directions. BlackBerry Assistant also responds to you based on your location and if you're using Bluetooth, the application assumes that you can't look at the screen and interacts with you, hands and eyes free.

Other enhancements from BlackBerry 10.3 include BBM Video, which lets you video chat with other members of the messaging app, BlackBerry Natural Sound technology which enhances BBM Voice, and the revamped BlackBerry 10 Browser, which allows pages to render quickly. The handset will also feature auto-correction, while predictive text will suggest the next word to type as you are composing your messages. Additionally Owners of the costly Porsche Design phones get an exclusive PIN number that sets its owners apart in the BlackBerry community.
