Samsung Galaxy S5 for Verizon receives G900VVRU1ANE9 OTA update with numerous improvements


Verizon is sending out an OTA (over-the-air) update for the Samsung Galaxy S5 on its network. The update brings the G900VVRU1ANE9 software version along with a number of minor improvements.

Among the improvements, the update brings updated versions of Verizon's Caller Name ID, Message+, and Cloud apps. Samsung's apps and accessories have also receiving some attention with this update. Web Search has been added to S Finder, and Visual Voicemail now works when the S-View flip cover is closed.

The device will remain on Android 4.4.2 after the update, so there is no new Android features you can look forward to. Users will have to be on stock Android in order to receive the software update, however those who are rooted are advised that this update will likely cause you to lose your root privileges.
