LG announces worldwide availability of G Pad 10.1 tablet


LG G Pad 7.0, 8.0 and 10.1 Android tablets

Today LG revealed that the largest member of its G Pad family of tablets, the , is globally available for those interested in owning one. But don't rush to the stores just yet - pricing and availability for each individual market are to be announced prior to the launch. It appears that the LG G Pad 10.1 will hit the shelves in the USA, while select markets across Europe, Asia, and Latin America will be getting it by the end of July.

The LG G Pad 10.1 brings a modest set of features to the table, including a 10.1 inch IPS LCD display with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution, 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 5MP rear camera, a 1.3MP front camera, an 8000 mAh battery and a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor with 1GB of RAM.

The tablet runs Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box, and even brings some of the features which the company debuted on its flagship smartphone, the LG G3. This means you will get Touch & Shoot, Gesture Shot, Smart Keyboard, and Dual Window. You will also get QPair 2.0, a feature which lets users to seamlessly pair the tablet to their smartphone via Bluetooth and receive notifications for missed calls or messages right on the G Pad. Additionally you can use the Knock Code feature for that added layer of security on your device.

The device will be available in either red of black when it arrives and will be a great alternative to someone who is considering purchasing the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 tablet.
