The Samsung Galaxy Tab S is now available for pre-order in the US, with the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 being priced at $399.99, while the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 will cost you $499.99. There is no shipping cost, and the device will be shipped to those who pre-order "in 10-14 business days".

Customers who pre-order any of the two new AMOLED tablets in the US will be entered to win “a once in a life-time tech makeover.” There will be a grand prize consisting of a Samsung UHD 4K 65-inch Smart TV, and two Samsung SHAPE Speakers. Other prizes include Galaxy S5 smartphones, NX Mini Smart Cameras, and Samsung Gear 2 smartwatches.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S is the first tablet to feature a Super AMOLED display. Its available in 8.4 inches and 10.5 inches and both sizes have a resolution of 1600 by 2560 pixels. Other specifications include up to 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, an 8MP rear camera, a 2MP front camera and a Samsung Exynos 5 Octa processor (or Qualcomm quad-core Snapdragon 800) with 3GB of RAM.

Along with being extremely thin and even lighter than Apple's iPad Air, the Galaxy Tab S brings several value added features including a fingerprint scanner and several software enhancements and services.
