Samsung Galaxy S5 now available in Japan in a new color variant

The Samsung Galaxy S5 is now available in Japan, through the carrier NTT DoCoMo bringing the same specs as the international variant. However you do get the carrier specific branding and services like Xi LTE, VoLTE, One-Seg and NOTTV, which allow you to watch broadcast TV stations. Along with the usual  black and white variants of the handset, the carrier is also offering the Galaxy S5 in pink

This means the Galaxy S5 is now available in a total of five different colors, including the blue and gold. It is not known if Samsung plans to make the new color globally available.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 features a 5.1 inch touch display, up to 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 16 megapixel rear camera, a 2 megapixel front camera, and a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor with 2GB of RAM.

Additionally the device features a fingerprint scanner, a heart rate monitor and has been built to survive the elements with dust and water resistance.

[UPDATE] It turns out that there are actually two pink versions of the Galaxy S5 that are being released in the Japanese market. The one we saw before is known as Sweet Pink or Soft Metallic Pink while the other is called Champagne pink. The Champagne Pink version, which is a mix of the pink and gold will be sold through KDDI, also starting tomorrow
