A new software update is rolling out for the Nokia Lumia Icon on Verizon Wireless. The update brings the 1028.3566.1417.0047 software version along with a few new features and improvements. Find out what's new along with the official change-log after the break.
Verizon has released a PDF file, which highlights some of the new features and improvements offered by this firmware update:
- Improvements to Wi-Fi Connectivity to ensure a more consistent experience
- Roaming enhancements when traveling internationally
- UI change to display app charging state of app connected accessories when it is connected with a charge
Apart from these three new improvements, the official document mentions that the update comes with improvements to several apps including Nokia Beamer, HERE Maps, App Social, and others.
The update is being pushed OTA (over-the-air) and you will receive a notification when it is available for your device. If you have not received the notification, you could consider manually checking for the update by heading to Settings > Phone Update > Check for Updates. Once you have received the update notification, you can follow the onscreen instructions to download and install the new software on to your device.
