First Windows Phone 8.1 device from Prestigio revealed

Earlier this year, Microsoft announced that Prestigio would be one of the new Windows Phone hardware partners. The manufacturer is headquartered in Cyprus and isn't well known in the western world as it concentrates its business in Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

While Prestigio hasn't yet officially announced its first Windows Phone, the device has appeared in a few renders along with its specifications.

The device will reportedly be called the Prestigio MultiPhone PAP5507 DUO and will run Windows Phone 8.1. According to the report, the device will feature a 5 inch 720p IPS touch display, 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, an 8MP rear camera, a 2MP front facing camera, HSPA+ connectivity, dual-SIM support and a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor with 1GB of RAM. As you may know, these specifications are more than capable of comfortably running Windows Phone.

The Prestigio MultiPhone PAP5507 DUO should be available starting July in Russia and other European markets. Its price isn’t known, but we’re expecting the handset to be quite affordable.
