The unlocked Samsung Galaxy S5 is now available for purchase through Amazon. Unfortunately the device is nowhere near cheap, costing a whopping $822.99 with only the white model available as a color choice. Fortunately Shipping is free, and set at two business days.
With the Galaxy S5 not set to launch in the U.S. for another 10 days, its not uncommon for online retailers to try and take advantage of the insufficient supply of the smartphone that is likely to lure impatient buyers. We suggest users exercise their restraint until the handset launches, but we have linked the handset after the break for the impatient few
As you may already know, the Galaxy S5 features a 5.1 inch touch display, up to 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 16 megapixel rear camera, a 2 megapixel front camera, and a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor with 2GB of RAM. It sets itself apart from its competitors with a fingerprint scanner and heart rate monitor with the device. They have also made it water and dust resistant.
The handset comes with Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box, with Samsung's TouchWiz user interface. Samsung has included several improvements including an updated flattened user interface.
