Microsoft has scheduled a press event today in San Francisco, where new CEO Satya Nadella is expected to make his first appearance under his new role. The event is expected to mark the unveiling of Microsoft Office for iPad.
The press event is scheduled to take place at 10 a.m. PT (1 p.m. ET) and run approximately an hour, will be "focused on the intersection of cloud and mobile computing," according to invitations that went out last week to reporters and industry analysts.
Microsoft has confirmed that the event will be streamed to the public through the company's news home page.
The event also happens to coincide with Macworld/iWorld -- the March 27-29 Apple-focused conference and trade show, further hinting at the possibility of an Office for iPad unveiling at Microsoft's event.
