The BlackBerry 10.2.1 software update is rolling out to BlackBerry 10 devices on Verizon's network. This means that owners of the BlackBerry Z10, or BlackBerry Q10 should soon be receiving a new version of BlackBerry's mobile platform. The update will reportedly begin rolling out at 2PM EST starting today and will make its way across all the BlackBerry 10 devices on T-Mobile's network.
The BlackBerry 10.2.1 update allows you to download and run many Android apps. It also adds the Priority Hub for quicker delivery of IMs, emails, notifications and calls. Wi-Fi Direct brings peer to peer sharing of content to other BlackBerry Q10, BlackBerry Z10 or BlackBerry Z30 models, faster than Bluetooth. The update will also turn your phone into an FM radio.
The update is being pushed OTA (over-the-air) and you should receive a notification when it is available for your device. If you have not received the notification, you could try manually installing the update by checking for it under Settings. If the update doesn't hit your BlackBerry 10 device today, be patient as BlackBerry 10.2.1 is sent out in waves, which means that if it isn't available on your phone today or tomorrow, it will be very soon.
