Sony Xperia Z Ultra Wi-Fi goes on sale in Japan
The Wi-Fi only version of the Sony Xperia Z Ultra will officially go on sale in Japan this Friday, January 24. The device will sell for ¥52,000 (~$499), and it won't be alone on shelves. Sony has also launched an LTE-enabled version of the device on Japanese carrier KDDI.
Most phablets haven't attempted to go higher than 6-inches, but the Xperia Z Ultra features a 6.4-inch display which brings it closer to a 7-inch tablet than a 6-inch phablet. The display has a 1920 by 1080 pixel resolution
The other specs of the Xperia Z Ultra include 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, an 8 megapixel rear camera, a 2 megapixel front facing camera and a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB of RAM.
