Asus chairman Jonny Shih, has stated that the manufacturer is planning on releasing a smartwatch during the second half of this year. Shih hinted that the device will be full of special features will will replace your existing watch by all means.
According to Taipei Times, back in November, Shih told investors that the company would be presenting a wearable device at this June's Computex in Taipei. Interestingly an anonymous source close to Asus has also stated that the company would be releasing a distinctive wearable device in the second half of 2014. This device would be different from anything else produced by the competition and could be worn as a necklace.
