Google Galaxy Nexus receives Android 4.4 KitKat courtesy of developer community
Even though Google stated that they would not officially support the Samsung made Galaxy Nexus when it came to Android 4.4 KitKat upgradability. that did not stop the developer community from stepping in. In fact there are two Android 4.4 KitKat builds to choose from.
However it is important to remember that these early build come with their share of bugs and glitches. For instance there are things like Wi-Fi that do not work, graphic glitches, and other stability issues. While it is not advisable to try these out if you use your Galaxy Nexus for your daily use, you could consider trying it if you have one of these pure-Android smartphones lying around.
Your other option is to sit back and wait for these builds to mature for sometime before adopting them on your device.
