After acquiring the app over a year ago, Google has released Quickoffice for the Android and iOS platforms as a free download. The app has been optimised for both phones and tablets and lets you edit and view Microsoft Office documents that are stored locally on your device without compromising formatting. The latest version even lets you work with documents which you have stored on your Google Drive.
You can download the update directly on your device through the Google Play Store or by using the following link.
Google has an added promotion for those who install Quickoffice from the Google Play Store before September 26th and link it to your Google account. Those who do so will be offered an extra 10GB of Google Drive storage for 2 years. This is a great perk to ensure users will continue to rely on Google Drive and Quickoffice for all their productivity needs.
