Toshiba announces three new Excite tablets


Toshiba has three new Android 4.2 Jelly Bean tablets that they want to show off and they have one with each type of user in mind. The Toshiba Excite Pure is the first of the three and is an entry level offering which is cost $300 when it goes on sale later this month. The device has 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD and is powered by an Nvidia Tegra 3 processor.

Meanwhile the Toshiba Excite Pro and the Toshiba Excite Write are premium models which feature 10.1 inch displays with a 2560 by 1600 pixel resolution and Gorilla Glass 2 protection. This display is the same one used on the Google Nexus 10 and gives a 300 ppi pixel density. You have 32GB of internal storage for your files while Nvidia Tegra 4 processors power both tablets.

The Excite Write additionally features a Wacom digitizer with support for 1024 levels of pressure sensity which results in a $600 price while the Excite Pro costs $500. Both premium tablets are expected to be released next month.
