The Samsung ATIV Q was announced today with the ability to run both Windows 8 and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean at the same time. You don't have to reboot to switch between the two platforms and since you have the full Windows 8 you run just about any Windows application on this device.The handset is built using a durable magnesium and features a unique folding mechanism which allows you to quickly switch between productivity and entertainment. The productivity is further enhanced thanks to the S Pen stylus similar to what Samsung offers with its Galaxy Note series. However its productivity doesn't hamper its portability which is quite impressive with its 1.29 kg weight and 13.9 millimeter waist.

However what's most impressive about the ATIV Q is its 13.3 inch display which has an amazing 3200 by 1800 pixel resolution. This results in a 275 ppi pixel density, which is quite impressive for a tablet of its size. Samsung claims that the display is very capable of being used outdoors. Additionally there is up to 256GB of internal SSD storage, a front facing 720p HD is available for video calls and you have a Haswell based Intel Core i5 processor with 4GB of RAM and an Intel HD graphics 4000 processor powering the device.

The Samsung ATIV Q is definitely the right blend of productivity, gaming and class, but we will have to wait a tad longer to find out how much the device will cost and when we can get our hands on one.
