LG Optimus G for AT&T receives Android 4.1.2 software update

The LG Optimus G for AT&T is now starting to receive the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean software update. The update brings the build number to JZO54K, the E97020j software version, the 3.4.0 kernel, and the APQ8064/MDM9x15M baseband.

Along with the latest version of , you will get features like Project Butter which offers performance improvements over , the Google Now digital assistant and enhancements to your notifications.

You should receive a notification when the update is available for your device, but you can manually check for its availability under Settings.

Considering that the new software version has been released in just five months, this is defenetly a welcome update. Especially given that the manufacturer has to go through carrier approval before making the update available to the public.
