Today Facebook Home for Android was officially announced during a special media event held by the social networking company. HTC also took this opportunity to unveil the HTC First, which will be the first smartphone optimized for Facebook Home.
The device has Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on board, which will be “optimized” to give users unique experiences including a clean new setup process and and notifications for email and calendars on Facebook Home.
The HTC First features a 4.3 inch touch display, 4G LTE connectivity, a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash and is powered by a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 1GB of RAM.
HTC and AT&T will partner to release the HTC First on AT&T’s 4G LTE network and will be available on April 12th for $99.99.
